Fixture Series #1.0 (MM33)

the MM33 fixture series is conceived as prefab unit prototypes (version 1.0), equipped with essential functions for small-scale urban dwelling, potentially applicable to various sites, meanwhile adjustable to specific conditions. the series comprises 4 unit designs: the kitchen, wardrobe, coiffeuse, and cabinet-low. the basic principles are its compactness which makes them suitable for applications in multiple scenarios; and its tectonics which is characterized by the use of expressive and versatile core material, plywood. the material is available in two options: birch plywood (light beige) and rubber plywood (pinkish brown) coated with natural oil varnish. users may opt to add a laminate layer on the core’s surface, although the bare and natural look is recommended. depending on specificity of the site, each unit can be adjusted or added on within the limit of its structural and technical capacity. all units can be produced in reversed orientation. and all can be demounted intact from the wall for service by a simple hexagonal wrench, without damaging the site.

Kitchen Unit #1.0

 designed as a minimal all-inclusive kitchen, this unit comes with all necessary storing functions, including the spaces for a cooker hood, a fridge, a laundry machine, a microwave, and dish drainer racks, all concealed behind the cabinet doors for the best possible orderliness and minimalistic aesthetics. the countertop and backsplash surfaces are finished with durable materials of the user’s preference: natural stone, resin-compound composite, or stainless steel. the basic design provides a space for a portable cooktop, which can be put away if unused, leaving the top as clear and clean as possible. the top cabinet, slightly recessed to make a display shelf, can be used as a electrical load center concealer or an extra storage unit.

      Wardrobe Unit #1.0 (MM33)

      the wardrobe unit is composed of two cabinet modules, with each inner clearance of 90 cm. one side is the main cloth-hanging space, with two rows of rods and a wide door mounted with a big mirror inside. another provides more variety of storage, with 3 drawers and a pocket space for a small luggage, removable shelves, or a short hanging rod. on top of the two are overhead spaces for bedclothes or others.

        Coiffeuse Unit #1.0

        the piece comes with a makeup tabletop and a vanity with a big mirror, plus a surface-mounted lamp, a hidden cove light, and one overhead storage space, where a door can be added. although slightly tight in width, the body will not be cramped by the flanking walls, as the tabletop protrudes over the wall edges. and as mentioned, the unit can be removed by simple tools, for service and wiring.

          Cabinet-low Unit #1.0 (MM33)

          this low cabinet can be used as a storage, a bench, as well as a media station, as there are slots and opening at the top and the back specifically designed for wiring connection. on one side, users may choose to have a long open storage or a closed one with a drop-down door. the other end is left open in case an internet router is to be placed here.
